Energy in Allentown, PA

by Donny on July 5, 2011

Allentown, Pennsylvania has a population of about 118,032 which makes it the third largest city in the state, coming after Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, and the 215gh largest city in the United States. It’s also the fastest growing city in Pennsylvania.

It’s located about 75 miles northwest of Trenton, NJ, and about 62 miles north of Philadelphia.

The city plays a rich role in the history of our nation as it was the site of a hiding spot for the Liberty Bell during the American Revolutionary War.

The city has a lot to offer both tourists and residents, but one thing residents can take advantage of is energy deregulation.

Pennsylvania is one of a handful of states to be deregulated which means if you’re in a deregulated city of the state, you can shop and compare multiple electricity rates and providers before choosing the cheapest electricity deal for your situation.

To get started with the process, simply type your zip code into our compare box, then choose a ‘commercial’ or ‘residential’ plan and click the compare button.

If you’re in need of any further information, feel free to give us a call anytime at 1-800-971-4020 to speak to one of our expert energy consultants.

It also serves as home to the Allentown Band, the nation’s oldest civilian concert band.

Many famous people have made Allentown their home at one point or another, including former NFL wide receivers Ed McCaffrey and Andre Reed, model and actress Amanda Seyfried as well as actress Christine Taylor and many more.
