In 1873, George W. Butler arrived from Louisiana and became the first person to settle in League City, Texas.
Fast forward 137 years ago, and you’ll find that League City has a population of about 67,000 and is located about 23 miles southeast of Houston and about 23 miles northwest of Galveston.
The location is perfect for local residents, as they have plenty of stuff to choose from when it comes to entertainment.
They can head to Galveston for a weekend of fun at the beach, or hit up Houston for big-city entertainment.
League City itself is also home to a number of water-side resorts used by residents from surrounding areas.
It was named Galveston County’s largest city between 200 and 2005.
Entertainment isn’t the only area where citizens of League City have plenty of options seeing as they’ve got plenty when it comes to electricity.
Since the energy deregulation, they can now choose an energy company.
If you’re in the market for electricity, just go to our compare box, and type in your zip code. Once you do this, you’ll see what energy providers are offering service in your area, and at what rates.
